Cookie Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective 2026-10-07
1. What this policy covers
Elegant Coffee (elegant-coffee.com) uses a small number of cookies and similar browser technologies. This policy lists them and explains how consent works. The controller is IGS Consult Ltd. (see the Legal Notice).
2. Strictly necessary — no consent required
These are required for the shop to work and cannot be switched off:
- Sign-in session (Firebase Authentication) — keeps you signed in to your account.
- Sign-in link address — when you ask for an emailed sign-in link, your email address is kept in your browser's local storage until you open the link, so you do not have to type it again; it is deleted as soon as you are signed in.
nvp-locale— remembers your chosen language and region for one year.- Your cookie choice — whether you accepted or declined analytics, stored in your browser's local storage (
nvp-consent) so the banner does not reappear on every page. - Cart contents — stored in your browser's local storage, never sent to third parties.
nvp-preview— set only for our own staff who open the shop through a private preview link before it launches; visitors never receive it.- Payment — the Stripe checkout page sets cookies on Stripe's own domain for payment processing and fraud prevention; they are governed by Stripe's policies.
3. Analytics — only with your consent
With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) with Consent Mode v2. Until you consent, all analytics storage is denied by default and no analytics cookies are set. Analytics collects a randomly generated identifier, a shortened form of your IP address, the pages you view, and general information about your browser and device, to understand which parts of the shop are used and how people arrive. With the same consent we keep a small marker per completed order in your browser's local storage so that a purchase is counted only once, and we set nvp-session — a random identifier with no personal data, kept for 30 days, used only to count each product or category view once per visitor per day for the shop's "popularity" sorting; it is never shared, never linked to your account, and never used for advertising. Declining or withdrawing consent removes it.
4. Your choice
The consent banner appears on your first visit with the most privacy-preserving defaults. You can decline analytics entirely — the shop works exactly the same. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer; withdrawal takes effect immediately and has no retroactive effect.
5. More
How analytics data is processed, transferred and retained is described in the Privacy Policy.
