Slim Jim

The Slim Jim sits between Kees van der Westen's classic Mirage and the flagship Spirit: the Mirage's proportions with many of the Spirit's high-end features, built in the Netherlands for cafés serving specialty coffee. Its multi-boiler system sets three independent temperatures — for the steam boiler, the brew boiler and the saturated group head — each held by PID control and programmed on the display. A pre-infusion chamber wets the coffee at low pressure before extraction, volumetric control stops each shot at its programmed volume, and a mixed hot-water outlet delivers water at a lower temperature for tea and americanos. Available with two or three groups. 220–240 V. It requires a 220–240 V connection, water filtration and a pressure regulator.
